I was looking to photograph the wildflowers and sunrise on this day in the park

as the sunlight illuminated the prairie and these yellow coneflowers during the early morning hours

After an overnight snowfall and freezing rain grip this prairie landscape scene

it is a beautiful area of the park to photograph with the elements involved

With the colors of the sunrise appearing just before the sun touched the horizon
