Description

Citrine was used in jewellery as the stone of abundance as it was thought to attract wealth

This ring can be dated fairly accurately because (very rarely) it's made of palladium - during the war what little platinum there was available was needed for the war effort so jewellers had to get a bit creative especially as gold was also expensive

the clasp has been replaced and there is a little solder showing

It's basically a little working model of a revolver (we're not sure what type but it's in the classic Smith and Wesson style)

Dated 1875

Gold Arts & Crafts Opal Brooch Pendant gold_chain Citrine was used in jewelleryDescription: Striking arts & crafts Art Nouveau pendant which has a small top loop where a bail could be attached to wear as a pendant. As a rule, we don't put a designers name against arts and crafts pieces unless we are sure of the attribution. It is almost certainly by one of the pre eminent makers of the time, possibly retailed by liberty of London its certainly British rather than French Art Nouveau and is a rare gold piece Birmingham school,
