The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U. S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible. This domaine is better known for its white wines, but the 2015 Grands Epenots, from vines planted in 1965, is a really serious bottle of Pommard that it would be a mistake to overlook.
