Polybutenes are clear, water light, viscous polymerization products of isobutene and n butene. They are highly resistant to ageing, stable to oxidation and electrically non conductive. In formulations, they improve shear stability, slip properties and the viscosity index. Due to these properties, polybutenes are used in many different products.
