This 1947 publication was issued to company servants who were studying for the safe working of trains examination to improve their knowledge of rules and regulations within the signalling grades

An enamel disc is fitted however we do have an excellent condition ribbed edge disc which can be supplied at extra cost

Its sole purpose was to prevent the distant arm showing "OFF" with the Stop arm at danger

RA 8662 BR(M) HALF FLANGED ENAMEL TOTEM "ROCHDALE" ship-zone-j The front of the caseA BR(M) half flanged enamel totem ROCHDALE , this totem has had a hard life on the railway and was most likely at the end of the station and not under cover, There is corrosion to the top and bottom flanges with some loss of metal on the lower one , this totem has been over painted as the original enamel if faded, however this is an inexpensive totem which can be displayed as is or restored at a later date.
