Tuareg bowls have been hand-carved from indigenous wood by women of the Tuareg people of Niger

These food bowls are increasingly rare to come by and would have been hand carved by the women of the community using an adze

with the larger stool and more difficult stools to transport harder to come by

Bamun Shield Small 07 Style as a sculptural objectThese Bamun shields originate from fighting shields used by warriors and are hand carved by the Bamun people of Cameroon from indigenous wood. The geometric patterns carved on the shields were designed to create confusion when fighting. Nowadays, the shields are used in dances during ceremonies and rituals. Shields may vary slightly. Stand is included. Please note stands may have minor imperfections.
