A beautiful summer sunrise filled with colorful clouds and wildflowers at Wildflower Park in Northern Illinois

I left the house around 4:30 am and headed to the Burnidge Forest Preserve

These are the kind of clouds that appear in the troposphere and are similar to stratus clouds in that they form a blanket

I enjoyed viewing and photographing them as they rested at Wildflower Lake before flying north on their migration

we have been having cool misty mornings which these kind of sunrises can be very dramatic
