It features Omega's rare caliber 560 movement of which only 3,000 examples were made. These movements were split across nine models, making each in effect a "limited edition." The 560 was a movement made only for the U. S. market to cut down on import tariffs. It is part of the famous 500 series, movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. Omega's 500 series was one
