The "Loaff" is framed inside an oval shaped teak bowl and reminded me of a loaf of bread

but the thick frame allows the piece to stand upright on your favorite shelf/side table/desk space or even lay it flat as a sort of fiber art sculpture

Looks great added to a gallery wall because of its texture and round frame

even some recycled sari silk which is one of my favorites

The vintage safety deposit box (so there may be a few nicks or dents here and there but it truly beautiful and was rescued from an old vault in the small town where I live) spoke to me as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to try using it as a frame. All the fibers within the frame have been sourced from small businesses and put together to create a fun piece of fiber art
