Wed get there in time for a BBQ lunch underneath the pine trees, then walk a few kilometres along the coast through the tee tree to Fingal Beach. Often it was in winter and wed be rugged up in scarves and beanies to combat the cold winds. I remember clearly along the path there were some trees that created a tunnel effect, carpeted with leaves fallen from the trees.
