The lining of the OD cap has some wear and staining (mostly on the inside)

The box has a post war price but everything about it is the same as war time so it is either extremely early post war or a wartime production piece which was priced after the war

The little key built onto the side of the tin for opening it is also as early style but this type was used both before and immediately after the war

There is one more noticeable stain near the bottom hem (it doesn't show well in the photo)
