I had a lot of fun painting this subject because of its powerful contrasts and movement

At Twilight Pink and wisdomSo, don't tell anyone, but I might have snapped a reference photo for this beautiful cloud formation while hurtling down the highway. The good news is that I didn't drop my camera out the window of my car (!), a horrifying and completely plausible thought that has crossed my mind. Regardless, the risk taking was worth it for this moment. Subtle colors at sunset are ephemeral. You have to make a quick leap to seize them.
