It was crafted from the designs of Basima Odeh a Palestinian artist from Salfeet who taught herself embroidery at age 10, went on to mentor women in refugee camps across Jordan, and whose work was celebrated at fashion shows attended by Jordan's royal family, including Queen Rania Al Abdullah. Basima passed away in 2020 after a long battle with illness. Her designs live on through Mosaic
