The fish clearly liked the lure and I loved it
I fished some swim jigs on it and a frog as well
It offered a relaxed and comfortable delivery, (always a good thing) but when coupled with the skagit, it achieved a much deeper action than some of the other 8/9 weights tested, so maybe a slightly lighter skagit would suit this rod
The colors really haven't played a tremendous role in my success, but I do like to go with a natural coloration if I am in clearer water and a dark coloration in murkier water
